Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ 1587 Prime restaurant has received another alarming review by a TikToker who said her $650 meal was ‘the worst fine-dining experience’ of her life.
The Kansas City Chiefs stars opened the steakhouse back in September and high-profile visits by the Super Bowl champions, along with Kelce’s fiancee Taylor Swift and Mahomes’ wife Brittany, helped its popularity soar.
But then the reviews started rolling in and several restaurant goers found that under the glossy sheen, 1587 wasn’t all they hoped it would be.
That has continued now with another damning review from a TikToker called Nicole Rose, who endured a nightmare at the downtown Kansas City steakhouse – aside from the broccoli.
‘It’s not good and it is not worth it,’ she said in a video, after visiting last week. ‘It was the worst fine-dining experience I’ve ever had.
‘It took us 45 minutes to get a martini. Our server got us the wrong drink and then by the time they checked on us, it was 20 minutes after that.

‘Following that, she didn’t explain any of the experience to us. We had no idea we were getting a bar cart… she ran away.’
Rose then explained how her waiter turned up to make the martini she ordered in front of her, as is the way at 1587. She described it as: ‘a $33 experience for a martini, 45 minutes after we sat down.’
As she waited for her drink, her first underwhelming food order arrived.
‘The fried chicken arrived before our drinks did and it was not good, it was not worth the $25,’ she said. ‘Then the meal came out. We had $15 steak sauce ordered and they did not come, they forgot them.
‘By the time they came, my friend had almost finished her steak.’
Rose explained that she had been waiting to take the first bite of her steak for when those expensive sauces eventually arrived. But when she was finally able to tuck in, she got yet another disappointment.
‘My $100 steak was incorrectly cooked,’ she said. ‘Couldn’t tell the server, you couldn’t even find the server to save your life.
‘So just had to go with it, I guess. The fastest thing our server did was collect the bill. Our $650 bill.’

She praised the mashed potatoes and broccoli that came with her meal, and the accompanying bread roll, but not much else.
The dinner was especially disappointing on a personal level, she explained, because her friends were visiting from out of town with one set for time away in the military.
‘My friend was in town from Denver and the other is leaving for six months in the army,’ she said.
Rose’s verdict follows the viral review from esteemed restaurant critic Liz Cook last year, who said Kelce and Mahomes present their customers with a ‘child-like idea of luxury at 1587.
‘Complaining about the prices at 1587 Prime is like complaining about the wind on Mount Everest: predictable, but hardly the worst part of the experience,’ Cook wrote. ‘All the same, there is no need for anything this mediocre to cost this much.’
She added: ‘Ultimately, 1587 Prime is a parched vision of luxury’ with ‘rehashed ideas… and lazy local outsourcing for stations that a top-tier restaurant should staff.’
