Apply for travel funding to help you build creative skills

The Arts Council of Northern Ireland has opened applications for Travel Awards under the National Lottery Support for Individual Artists Programme.

The scheme provides funding for individual artists and established music groups (up to two members) to travel from Northern Ireland to build skills, knowledge, and expertise.

This is a rolling programme for the 2026/27 period, with no fixed deadlines. However, you must

  • apply at least four weeks before your departure date
  • apply no more than six months before your departure date
  • complete your travel within 12 months of submitting your application

You must also provide evidence that you have been invited by a host organisation in the country to which you intend to travel. This opportunity is open to artists of all disciplines and working practices.

The programme will close at midday on Wednesday 31 March 2027.

Find more details and apply on the Arts Council website.
