Accidental Theatre has launched Talk to the Professionals, a two-year professional development programme designed to support early and mid-career artists, producers and technicians. Supported by The James Kane Foundation, the initiative seeks to help those working in the creative industries to adapt to new production models, digital tools and audience expectations.

What is available

The programme offers a series of courses to help participants develop practical skills and respond to new ways of working in the creative sector. Courses currently include

  • 3 May Introduction to audio field recording
  • 14 May Negotiating the industry
  • 23 May, 30 May and 6 June Introduction to producing theatre
  • 24 May, 31 May and 7 June Introduction to recording immersive/spatial audio

Sessions will combine hands-on learning with project-based work, giving participants the chance to develop ideas and receive feedback from industry practitioners.

See the full list of Talk to the Professionals courses.

If you’d like to suggest topics for new courses later in the year, you can let Accidental Theatre know by email.

Bursary opportunities are available to help reduce financial barriers and widen access to training. Apply for a bursary place.
