Tottenham are close to signing Andy Robertson on a free transfer after the Scotland captain left Liverpool.
Spurs held talks with the left back in January but he decided to see out his contract at Anfield. But they retained an interest and Robertson was keen to move to north London providing the club stayed in the Premier League.
Juventus posted an interest in recent days, as they have with goalkeeper Alisson, and Atletico Madrid were also keen last summer when Robertson decided to remain on Merseyside instead.
It is seen as a coup for Roberto De Zerbi’s side given Robertson’s experience. The player wanted his future sorted before his first World Cup next month, where he will skipper the Tartan Army.
Robertson signed from Hull City for £8million in 2017 and redefined the left back position. The Tigers, promoted last week, were never in serious contention to sign him due to his wages.
Liverpool have weighed up whether to sign a replacement but have Milos Kerkez and returning loanee Kostas Tsimikas, who spent this year at Roma.
