Tom Brady roasted Jayden Daniels with a brutal joke about his mom ahead of their flag football showdown this weekend.
Brady returns to the field in Los Angeles this weekend for the ‘Fanatics Flag Football Classic,’ a five-on-five tournament involving some of the biggest names in football.
Seven-time Super Bowl champion Brady is co-captain of Founders FFC alongside Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, while Joe Burrow and Commanders star Daniels are leading Wildcats FFC.
Brady has kicked off the trash talk ahead of kickoff – taking a dig at Burrow and then, after embracing Daniels, claiming: ‘I haven’t seen Jayden on a field… in about seven or eight months.’
That drew a laugh from the Commanders quarterback, who missed chunks of the 2025 season due to a series of injuries.
Brady then aimed a jibe about Daniels’ biggest supporter. ‘I’m just happy his mom let him play!’ the NFL legend said, much to the amusement of his fellow quarterback.

Regina Jackson (pictured left with Brady) has been with her son for every step of his journey
Daniels’ mother, Regina Jackson, has been by her son’s side throughout his journey to the NFL. Several times last season, she was spotted chatting with Brady and even posed for a picture with the NFL legend.
Jackson also acts as Daniels’ agent and business manager and there have been questions over the control she has over his personal life. She previously suggested girls would be the biggest obstacle to reaching his potential.
‘Them girls. Some girl out here, she’s got a Jayden Daniels wall and her mama says, “Hey honey, you’re going to the be the one to get him,”‘ Jackson said on Prime Video’s ‘The Money Game’.
‘And I know that sounds crazy, but I guarantee there’s someone who’s trying to get their hooks into Jayden Daniels. So thank god he got a mama like me because it ain’t happening.’
Last year, amid rumors of a romance between Daniels and JuJu Watkins, Jackson was spotted sitting between her son and the USC basketball star.
But Jackson later clarified that she is happy for her son to date. ‘I’m putting it on record… he can live freely, make his own decisions,’ she said.
‘However, with the relationship we have, he does value my opinion because when my kids were little, I did a lot for them and my kids saw that.’
NFL stars Stefon Diggs, Rob Gronkowski, Saquon Barkley and Odell Beckham Jr. are also among those taking part in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, alongside personalities including Logan Paul and boxing icon Terence Crawford.
