Tiger Woods is reportedly getting the Hollywood treatment with the golf legend’s iconic story set to be turned into a movie on the big screen.
According to Deadline, Amazon MGM Studios has secured the rights to produce a Woods biopic based on the famous Kevin Cook book ‘The Tiger Slam: The Inside Story of the Greatest Golf Ever Played’.
Director Reinaldo Marcus Green – who detailed the rise of famous tennis sisters Serena and Venus Williams with the 2021 movie ‘King Richard’ – will be tasked with portraying Woods’ journey from child prodigy to the first and only golfer in history to win four straight major championships.
However, one potential stumbling block Amazon MGM Studios is that former president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle are in talks to work as producers on the film, which could make for an awkward dynamic amid Tiger’s romance with Vanessa Trump.
DailyMail.com exclusively revealed on Thursday that the sporting icon and Vanessa, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr, have been dating since Thanksgiving and are quickly becoming golf’s new power couple.
If the Obamas are indeed working on the Woods biopic, it remains to be seen if Tiger’s relationship with the current president’s former daughter-in-law will impact production given the history of bad blood between Donald and Barack.

The fierce political rivals, who did appear on friendly terms at the funeral of ex-president Jimmy Carter earlier this year, have frequently criticized each other in the past, with Trump previously calling his predecessor an ‘ineffective’ and ‘terrible’ president.
Obama, meanwhile, took aim at the Republican nominee on his election campaign trail at the end of last year, calling him a ’78-year-old billionaire who has not stopped whining about his problems since he rode down his golden escalator nine years ago.’
His wife Michelle also warned voters that ‘the consequences of him ever being president again are brutally serious.’
Despite splitting with Trump’s son in 2018, Vanessa, 47, remains on amicable terms with the father of her five children, meaning she is unlikely to enjoy a warm relationship with the Obamas.
She has been dating Tiger, 49, since the back end of last year, with the couple only 20 minutes apart in the wealthy southern Florida enclave of Palm Beach.
Her eldest child, 16-year-old daughter Kai, and Woods’ son Charlie, also 16, are both aspiring golfers with hopes of one day turning pro.
The two families appear to have become increasingly close of late, with Tiger seen arriving at the PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines in California with both Kai and Vanessa.
Kai, who committed to playing golf at the University of Miami next year, wore an outfit from the golf icon’s clothing line.
That could make for an awkward dynamic given Barack’s previous feud with Donald Trump

In February, Vanessa also took Kai to watch TGL, the new indoor golf league Woods recently launched with good friend Rory McIlroy.
Meanwhile, president Trump met up with Woods for a round of golf before heading off to New Orleans to watch Super Bowl LIX last month.
Tiger, widely considered the greatest golfer of all time, has won 15 major championships over the course of his storied career.
The Amazon MGM Studios movie will tell the story of his most famous achievement, when he won four consecutive Grand Slams between 2000 and 2001.
As well as the Obamas, the film on his iconic ‘Tiger Slam’ is also set to be produced by Irwin Winkler, the veteran filmmaker behind Goodfellas and Rocky.
