As the temperature soar this weekend, many of us will be again reminded how poorly houses in the UK cope with heatwaves. And, since most homes still don’t have air conditioning, investing in one of the best fans is one of the easiest ways to beat the heat and keep stuffy rooms feeling comfortable.

After testing more than a dozen fans for her buying guide, it was the MeacoFan sefte 10” table air circulator that stood out to Joanne Lewsley for its impressive cooling power, especially considering its £100 price tag.

In her review of the MeacoFan sefte, she explained it’s “one of those rare models that manages to feel both powerful and refined.”

“In testing, I was genuinely impressed by just how much air it moves – the airflow is strong enough to be felt across the room, yet it never has that harsh, buffeting feel you get from cheaper desk fans,” she said.

Aside from its cooling powers, Joanne noted that it was “whisper-quiet” too, “making it ideal for bedrooms or light sleepers.”

So, if you’re in the market for a new fan to keep you cool right through summer, read on for all you need to know about the MeacoFan sefte.

The MeacoFan sefte was nominated our tester’s best fan. For £100, the fan looks the part and performs beyond more expensive options our expert reviewer Joanne Lewsley tested.

In her round-up of the best fans, she wrote that “it strikes a really nice balance between performance, efficiency and ease of use.

“If you want a fan that’s quiet enough for sleep, powerful enough for whole-room cooling, and cheap to run, this is easily one of the best I’ve tested.”

It’s also a great choice for those looking to keep energy costs down. “At just 22.5W on its highest setting, it’s cheaper to run than many traditional fans, including some budget models (less than 1p per hour).” There’s also an eco mode where the fan automatically adjusts the fan speed based on room temperature, to help you not use more energy than you need to.
