The Independent returns with an expanded partnership for Latitude’s 20th anniversary edition, offering everything from exclusive interviews to behind-the-scenes content.
This year’s lineup features headliners David Byrne, Teddy Swims and Lewis Capaldi, along with The Last Dinner Party, Tom Grennan, Wet Leg and Bill Ocean.
The festival will also deliver its comedy lineup, with stars such as Jack Dee, Sara Pascoe, Ross Noble and Lenny Henry set to perform this year.
A number of the biggest artists, comedians and thinkers on the lineup will be filmed in conversation with The Independent’s team, including editor-in-chief Geordie Greig with choreographer Sir Matthew Bourne, tech editor Andrew Griffin with geologist and adventurer Professor Chris Jackson, and culture news editor Lauren Morris in conversation with comedian and writer Rosie Jones.
From 8 June, The Independent will publish this series of weekly interviews, also including chats with the Beta Band’s Steve Mason (interviewed by radio host Shaun Keaveny).
During the festival, the popular Listening Post stage will play host to The Independent’s podcast hosts: Adam Cleary from football show ACFC, and Helen MacNamara and Cleo Watson from the essential politics show In the Room.
Melvin Benn, Latitude Founder and Festival Director, said: “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with The Independent for this very special year. Reaching our 20th anniversary calls for the very best in conversation, culture and ideas, and there is no better partner to help us mark it than The Independent.
“Latitude has always been a space for discovery, dialogue and diverse voices, and with The Independent’s shared dedication to championing creativity that provokes thought, inspires and fosters connection, this partnership will once again extend that vision beyond the festival grounds. Together, we will bring compelling conversations across music, arts and ideas to an even wider audience.”

The Independent’s Director of Brand Marketing and Communications, Beth Gordon commented: “Latitude truly is a one-of-a-kind, magical event. We are so pleased to be coming together again.
“With our journalists in conversation with a huge variety of the Latitude line-up leading up to the festival and on stage over the weekend, it’s a perfect partnership, highlighting the diversity and quality of both the Latitude programme and The Independent’s cultural and scientific coverage. Happy 20th, Latitude – we can’t wait to celebrate with you at the beautiful Henham Park this July.”
Latitude takes place at Henham Park, Suffolk, from 23-26 July. Tickets are on sale now.
