The Food Standards Agency’s (FSA) website has today moved over to the GOV.UK platform. This will help to meet the evolving needs of our diverse user base, while also reducing costs, enhancing security, and improving the efficiency of our online content.

This aligns with the government’s ambition to create a single, consistent experience, enabling members of the public to access multiple services all on one platform.

The majority of content from our old website has been moved to our new online home. This means consumers and businesses can continue to find all the information they need, including our essential food safety guidance.

Diane Barlow, Chief Information Officer at the FSA, said

Moving to GOV.UK is a significant step forward for how we serve the public.

Our users can now access trusted food safety information through a single, secure and accessible platform, alongside a wide range of other government services.  This move reflects our commitment to making it as easy as possible for everyone to find what they need, when they need it.

The FSA’s previous website – www.food.gov.uk – is no longer in operation, but any users who attempt to visit the old website will be automatically redirected to our GOV.UK pages.

The FSA continues to fulfil its role as an independent, non-ministerial department and regulator, working to protect public health and consumer interests in relation to food.
