Summer is underway. Whether you’re planning to kick off the season with a barbecue or you’re filling the cupboards for the World Cup, it helps to bag a bargain, which is why I’ve found the best supermarket deals on beers.
Most supermarkets offer discounts when you buy in bulk or in a bundle (buy three and get the fourth free, for example), with the best offers usually being exclusively available to shoppers with a loyalty card for that supermarket, like Sainsbury’s Nectar card.
Whether looking to save on Peronis, Asahi, or alcohol-free beer, I’ve done the deal hunting for you. Below you’ll find the best offers from Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose.
Heineken premium lager beer bottles, 12-pack: Was £14.25, now £10, Sainsburys.co.uk
Sainsbury’s Nectar card holders can save £4.25 on a 12-pack Heineken. From the Amsterdam-born brewery, the beer is slightly fruity, refreshing, and crisp.
If you’re teetotal, there’s also a great deal on the brand’s non-alcoholic beer, with the 12-pack of 0.0% alcohol-free premium lager discounted to just £9.
You can currently save £5 on a 12-pack of Peroni. Balancing bitterness with light citrus notes, the premium Italian beer is worth stocking up on for a barbecues or an evening in.
This is a great offer on Asahi’s dry lager. When bought with a Nectar card, the 12-pack is reduced to £14, saving you £6.
You’ll be hoppy to know, you can get a 12-pack of Moretti for £12 at Sainsbury’s. The perfect accompaniment for the World Cup games.
Beavertown neck oil 10 x 330ml: Was £17.65, now £14.50, Waitrose.com
If Beavertown neck oil is the tipple of choice, you can save on a 10-pack at Waitrose. With an ABV of 4.3 per cent, the British craft brewery’s tipple is balanced with hops, zesty citrus and passionfruit flavours for what is said to be an easy-drinking experience.
BrewDog cold beer, 10-pack: Was £9.50, now £7, Tesco.com
Tesco Clubcard holders can save 25 per cent on a 10-pack of beer from Scottish independent brewery BrewDog. It’s suitable for vegans, and it’s gluten-free.
