Team USA gymnast Jade Carey, a gold medal winner at the Paris Olympics last year, has revealed she is in a relationship with another woman on Instagram.
Carey shared multiple pictures to her account on Wednesday with her partner Aimee Sinacola, captioning the images with the word ‘happy’.
Simone Biles commented ‘freaking cuuuute’ on the post, and the 24-year-old also received support from fellow USA Olympics stars Suni Lee and Jordan Chiles, as well as Olivia Dunne.
Last year in France, Carey helped Team USA win gold in the team final with a score of 14.800 on the vault.
She also won bronze in the vault final for her third individual medal for the USA.
Sinacola is also involved in the sporting world, working as a content creator for the Oregon Ducks.

Carey also won gold in the floor exercise at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, where she also replaced Biles in the individual all-round competition final after her legendary teammate pulled out to focus on her mental health.
The four-time world championship medalist did not initially qualify for the four-discipline event, after finishing behind Biles and Lee.
Overall, she is tied with Aly Raisman as the fifth-most decorated American gymnast of all time.
Carey, who is from Phoenix, Arizona, is the daughter of a gymnastics trainer in mom Danielle.
After taking up the sport as soon as she could walk, she also credits her dad Brian for introducing her to gymnastics and supporting her on her road to the Olympic Games.
The USA ‘Golden Girls’ team captivated the nation with its success in Paris last summer.
But it ended in controversy with Jordan Chiles stripped of her bronze medal in the floor exercise amid an ongoing dispute involving Romania’s Ana Barbosu.
Earlier this week Chiles, who was ordered to return the medal following a Romanian appeal in August, claimed she is still in possession of it seven months on.

She told Candace Parker on the ex-WNBA star’s ‘Trophy Room’ podcast: It’s still a bronze in my head, it’s still a bronze in my heart. I still have the medal if anybody is asking.
‘I still have it and I can’t really continue on my life with having something so small but so big in the world carry in my heart for the rest of my life. I can’t let that happen.
‘So now I’m enjoying life. I’m at UCLA, I’m doing everything I can. I get to enjoy the support now.’
Chiles concluded by insisting she will ‘continue to fight’ while thanking her fans for helping her to ‘enjoy being able to stand on my own two feet and be proud of what I’ve accomplished.’
