Taylor Swift will make her first appearance of the 2025 NFL season during the Kansas City Chiefs’ opener in Brazil.
Travis Kelce and the Chiefs will raise the curtain on their season against the Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo on September 5 – the NFL’s first international game of the new campaign.
And, off the back of announcing her latest album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ on her boyfriend’s New Heights podcast, the pop sensation will reportedly be cheering him on at Corinthians Arena, according to Brazilian journalist Leo Dias.
The report added that the ‘Fortnight’ songstress will watch her tight end take the field for the 13th season of his NFL career from a luxury suite.
Swift’s reported attendance raises eyebrows amid concerns for players’ safety in the Brazilian city.
The NFL decided to return to Sao Paulo this season, despite players for eventual Super Bowl winners Philadelphia Eagles feeling worried about crime during their visit last season.

As the NFL season kicks off again, the pop star is expected to root for her NFL beau at games
Last season, the Eagles played their curtain-raiser in Sao Paulo at the Corinthians Arena, beating the Green Bay Packers on the first step on the road to lifting the Lombardi trophy.
But the buildup was overshadowed when Eagles cornerback Darius Slay said he didn’t want to visit the country after being told it was unsafe by security officials before flying out.
On his podcast, ‘Big Play Slay,’ he said: ‘”Week 1 I’m looking forward to it, I can’t wait. But man, I do not want to go to Brazil.
‘You want to know why? I’m here to tell you why. They already told us not to leave the hotel. They told us we can’t do too much going on because the crime rate is crazy.
‘So the first thing people think is some terror can possibly happen. I told my family do not come down there because I’m not going to be nowhere to be found. I’m going to be in the hotel room chillin’.”
Slay later apologized but he wasn’t the only Eagles star to speak of concerns.
Wide receiver A.J. Brown told CBS: ‘We had a meeting and there were a whole bunch of “Don’t Do’s”.
‘So I’m just trying to go down there and win a football game, and come back home. But after hearing all this stuff, I’m probably going to be in my room.’
The songstress announced her new album on Kelce’s New Heights podcast last week
And the Chiefs’ rivals for Week 1 have expressed similar fears. Los Angeles Chargers star Tony Jefferson has revealed will not be leaving the team’s hotel while staying in Brazil over safety concerns.
‘Isn’t like Brazil dangerous? I’m not leaving the hotel,’ Jefferson said earlier this month. ‘I’m finna pack my PS5, my Samsung.’
Swift and Kelce, meanwhile, have kept a very low profile this offseason, splitting their time between the popstar’s $50m Manhattan penthouse and the NFL icon’s $20m rental in Boca Raton, Florida.
Yet, both of their lives are set to be thrust back into the public eye in the coming weeks, with Kelce’s NFL season set to get underway – and Swift expected to once again follow him around the country to take in his games.
