Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have invited the NBA champion New York Knicks starting heroes to their hotly anticipated wedding set for the team’s Madison Square Garden arena, according to a new report.
It’s been widely rumored that the global pop superstar and her Kansas City Chiefs star fiancé will tie the knot on Friday at the Manhattan arena where the Knicks played for a historic championship last month.
The star-studded 1,000-plus guest list may include MVP Jalen Brunson, along with his teammates Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns, as a Page Six source said the couple invited “the starting lineup for the Knicks.”
While fans anxiously wait to see the wedding photos drop on Instagram as Swift did for her floral engagement shoot, the scene outside MSG in recent days has already dropped some clues into the spectacle.
Tree branches, lobster meat and pink carpet have been carted into MSG, as security outside the arena told The Independent that the surrounding area would be closed off until Monday.
Singer Stevie Nicks — a name Swift used as a pun on the orange and blue shirt she wore to Game 4 of the NBA Finals at MSG — and Tim McGraw — a country artist that Swift named one of her first songs after — are expected to perform at the July 4 weekend wedding.
The Independent has reached out to a representative for Swift and MSG for comment about a potential invite sent to the Knicks.
The Knicks’ starting five isn’t such a surprising potential pick for Swift — although Kelce may have some conflicting feelings about the team that beat his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Swift and Kelce sat courtside at Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, with the Chiefs’ tight end, who is from the Cleveland area, chugging a beer on the jumbotron.

But Swift, who is originally from Pennsylvania, displayed loyalty to New York, where she owns a compound in the Tribeca neighborhood, sitting on Celebrity Row during Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
Following the historic Knicks comeback that game, thanks to Anunoby’s famed tip-in, Swift nearly lost her voice.
“The quality of my speaking voice is the product of [something] that I am not sorry for…I was lucky enough to go to a Knicks game last night,” she said at the Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction the next night. “I screamed for 100 percent of it.”
