Aussie F1 star Oscar Piastri has been embroiled in an embarrasing situation, which saw him locked out of the Grand Prix paddock in Monaco.
Footage posted to social media showed Piastri, 25, speaking with security officials after he was locked out of the Monaco paddock.
The awkward exchange captures security personnel seemingly not being aware of who Piastri actually is.
A guard is then seen communicating through a walkie-talkie before Piastri is eventually escorted away.
The strange incident occured ahead of the iconic Monte Carlo race where the McLaren star will be competing.
Piastri seems to enjoy the Monaco track, having finished on the podium twice in the three races he’s taken part in.

The Aussie driver currently sits sixth in the 2026 World Drivers’ Championship and has also stepped on the podium twice this year.
Despite being regarded as one of the best drivers on the grid by most F1 fans and pundits, a former champion has taken a swipe at Piastri this week.
2007 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen has claimed Italian driver Kimi Antonelli will avoid performing like Piastri did when leading the championship in 2025.
The nine-time race winner was in the box seat to claim the drivers’ title after securing several race wins in the early part of last season.
But his performances from the Azerbaijan Grand Prix onwards saw him crumble and relinquish his hold on the championship, which was eventually won by Lando Norris.
‘Antonelli won’t lose focus – he’s showing maturity,’ Raikkonen said.
‘He’ll have to avoid imitating Piastri in 2025. At one point, he seemed to have the title in his pocket, but he couldn’t handle the pressure.
‘The Italian won’t fall into the same trap.’
