Stephanie Lynnette, a healthcare worker, content creator and events manager for London’s Trans+ Pride, has called for greater allyship and awareness for the trans community.

Speaking about the current climate surrounding trans rights, Lynnette, who transitioned when she was a teenager s,aid support from allies is now more important than ever. “We need your allyship now, more than ever,” she said. “Stand up with us and be aware of legislation that is being passed against us.”

Lynette, who appears on The Independent’s Pride List 2026, urged people to educate themselves on issues affecting the trans community and to actively show support. “Right now, all we need is for people to be more aware of our rights and stand with us so we can come together,” she added.
