New England Patriots star Stefon Diggs is facing a fresh defamation lawsuit, just days before he will take to the football field for Super Bowl LX.
According to reports from TMZ, the legal action stems from a 2024 incident involving a stolen Ferrari and subsequent physical altercations involving his inner circle.
The plaintiff, a former employee of the wide receiver, alleges that Diggs falsely accused him of stealing the luxury vehicle despite police clearing him of any guilt.
The lawsuit further claims that the false narrative spread by Diggs led to a professional decline for the victim’s concierge business and sparked multiple threats.
The complaint alleges that two men associated with Diggs assaulted the plaintiff at a Miami nightclub in December 2025 while the receiver’s brother watched on.
The victim claims he suffered a laundry list of injuries including a torn ACL during the confrontation at Tootsie’s Cabaret, where Trevon Diggs was also present.

The lawsuit names both Stefon and Trevon Diggs as defendants, seeking damages for defamation, vicarious liability, and a conspiracy to harass the former employee.
Diggs has not yet responded to the allegations as he prepares for the Super Bowl on Sunday following a dominant season as the primary target for the Patriots team.
Diggs joined New England after a prolific tenure with the Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans, maintaining his status as one of the league’s most elite receivers.
The shocking accusation comes just weeks after Diggs was accused of felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery after an alleged incident involving his personal chef.
Through the Patriots, it was revealed Diggs ‘categorically denies’ the allegations against him and as per Mark Daniels of MassLive.com, he added: ‘It’s been an emotional time. It’s definitely an open case so I can’t even say anything about it.’
According to the incident report provided to the Daily Mail, the woman said Diggs entered her unlocked bedroom, grabbed her from behind and ‘tried to choke her using the crook of his elbow around her neck’.
She told police on December 16 she feared she ‘could have blacked out,’ before being thrown down onto the bed by Diggs. The accuser initially hesitated to identify Diggs to police ‘due to his fame,’ according to the incident report.
The two lawsuits are just the latest in a long list of controversies which have marred the NFL Comeback Player of the Year nominee’s year on the football field.

In May last year, Diggs was seen partying aboard a boat in a viral clip that showed him handling a pink substance believed to be drugs.
He would ultimately discuss the incident with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, who has agreed to keep the conversation private, but was never punished by the team or league.
Following that, a bombshell allegation was made by social media influencer and clothing designer Chris Blake Griffith, who claimed Diggs tried to drug him, made unwanted sexual advances and later conspired to kill him.
In response, Diggs accused Griffith of concocting a lurid tale and sued him for defamation. Griffith has since filed a counterclaim, standing by his accusations against the former All-Pro.
