The Patriots are signing wide receiver Stefon Diggs to a massive $69million contract, according to a report.
Diggs, 31, spent last season with the Texans after a four-year stint in Buffalo, which followed five seasons in Minnesota to begin his career.
Now, the wideout is headed to New England on a three-year-deal including $26million guaranteed, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The move will provide young quarterback Drake Maye with a clear No. 1 receiver as he looks to settle into the NFL in his second season as a starter.
However, Diggs was only healthy enough to play in eight games last year, averaging 62 receiving yards per game and finishing with three touchdowns before tearing his ACL in October.
Diggs, a four-time Pro Bowler, is likely to see an uptick in targets after running routes alongside Nico Collins and Tank Dell last season.
Stefon Diggs is reportedly in Foxborough meeting with the Patriots ahead of a possible move

Diggs played just eight games for the Texans before he tore his ACL during a game in October
In his last healthy year, he finished with 1,183 yards and eight receiving touchdowns for the 2023 Bills.
It’s not the first big splash that the Patriots have made in free agency this year, as they signed Eagles Super Bowl winner Milton Williams to a massive contract earlier this month.
The defensive lineman struck a reported four-year, $104million deal with the franchise, including $63million guaranteed.
New England went just 4-13 last season and will select fourth in the NFL Draft next month.
That will give them the chance to select another playmaker, with Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter a potential option for the pick.
