Move aside, the big boys are here!
The first four days of the World Cup have been special, but now we are taking things up a notch.
In step the European champions, Spain, who begin their bid to conquer the footballing world for the second time.
To many people, Luis de la Fuente’s side are the favourites to get their hands on the Jules Rimet Cup, and well, it’s easy to see why. They are a nation stacked with ballers. Sadly, England fans know that better than anyone (sorry to remind you all…).
And they couldn’t be starting with a much easier fixture.
Yes, yes… I know that sounds harsh, but come on, they are taking on a Cape Verde side who have never played a match in this tournament before.
Now, while I say it’s an easy fixture, this Cape Verde side will be desperate to show what they are about in what is a historic day for the country. And I’m sure they won’t want to be battered like Curacao were, eh?
Anyway, that’s enough yapping for an introductory post. Let’s get this show on the road.
