Why is Tony Bellew playing for World XI in Soccer Aid?
Boxing star Tony Bellew will take to the pitch for Soccer Aid but once again lines up for the World XI against England.
The former cruiserweight world champion is a proud Liverpudlian and Everton fan but chooses to play for the World XI team.
The eligibility rules for Soccer Aid are not strict – and Tommy Fury also played for World XI in 2023 despite being born in Manchester.

World XI starting line-up
There’s a Manchester United feel to the World XI defence as Nemanja Vidic lines up ahead of Edwin Van der Sar at Old Trafford.
The back-four is completed by former Liverpool winger Harry Kewell, actor Richard Gaad and former boxer Tony Bellew.
Former France international Kheira Hamraoui, comedian Asim Chaudhry, musician Dermot Kennedy and Livi Sheldon (Gladiator Diamond) are in midfield.
And how about this for a front two: David Trezeguet and Rivaldo, former World Cup winners with France and Brazil respectively.
