Ania Magliano has confessed that she first thought her casting on SNL UK was a “mistake”.
Speaking to The Independent at Variety’s Women of Power event on Wednesday (3 June), Magliano, who hosts the iconic Weekend Update segment of the show alongside Paddy Young, thought her confirmation email may have been “a glitch”.
“I thought it was a mistake. Not like a ‘Oh my God, I’m so humble’ way. I thought it was a mistake, but I was just like, ‘Oh, well, that’s probably wrong’,” she revealed.
The 28-year-old also shared that she was nervous as to whether she would fit in with the rest of the cast. ”God, this is scary. This is intense. What’s it gonna be like?,” she recollected.
