These grants support environmental improvement projects that make a positive difference in the wider community

The Small Grants Scheme is a partnership between Live Here Love Here, ten local councils and Northern Ireland Housing Executive.

Small Grants supports community-led projects that enhance the local environment, build civic pride, and bring people together.

Grants of £500 to £3,000 are available to support environmental improvement projects that make a positive difference in the wider community.

Eligibility

The Small Grants Scheme supports community groups, schools, not-for-profit organisations, and unconstituted groups to deliver projects that aim to

  • increase civic pride and enhance the quality of local green spaces
  • transform underused areas into vibrant, valued community spaces
  • improve community health and wellbeing through the enhancement of public spaces
  • promote environmentally focused actions and boost local biodiversity

The scheme is open to projects based across ten partner council areas in Northern Ireland.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 30 June 2026.
