More details have been released concerning the rape allegations against BYU wide receiver Parker Kingston.

Kingston, a redshirt junior at the Mormon university, has been accused of the crime by an unnamed woman.

The woman allegedly informed a forensic interviewer back in June that she told Kingston multiple times in online messages before she met him that she did not want to have intercourse with him.

Now, the 21-year-old has been charged with felony first-degree rape over an alleged assault in St. George, Utah on February 23, 2025.

Kingston has been accused of raping the woman, who was 20-years-old at the time, who then later reported the incident to officers at St. George Regional Hospital, per the attorney’s office.

The woman said in an affidavit that she ‘set clear boundaries with Kingston prior to their meetup,’ according to The Athletic.

According to the alleged victim’s account of the incident (via The Athletic), Kingston came to her residence in the early hours of February 23 and the two ‘began to engage in some sexual activity’ while watching a movie. However, she specified this did not include sex.

As Kingston began to fall asleep, the woman says she began to get ready for bed as well – only for the wideout to allegedly ‘[initiate] sexual activity again.’

The alleged victim claims to have told Kingston to stop several times before he reportedly raped her.

In an affidavit, Kingston told investigators that the actions between himself and the woman were consensual.

Kingston was taken into custody earlier this week and is being held without bail. He is due in court on Friday.

‘Detectives with the St. George Police Department then gathered digital and forensic evidence,’ the attorney’s office statement read.

‘They also conducted interviews with the parties involved and other witnesses.’

In a statement on Wednesday, BYU Athletics said:  ‘BYU became aware today of the arrest of Parker Kingston.

‘The university takes any allegation very seriously, and will cooperate with law enforcement. Due to federal and university privacy laws and practices for students, the university will not be able to provide additional comment.’

Kingston led the Cougars in receiving last season with 924 yards. He also tacked on five receiving touchdowns.

In addition, he had 26 carries on the ground for 123 yards and three touchdowns.

Kingston is not the only BYU star to face allegations of rape while playing at the school.

Former BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff was accused of rape, strangulation and biting in a lawsuit over an alleged incident dating back to November 2023.

The lawsuit was eventually dropped last June by both parties and Retzlaff did not face any criminal charges.

However, by admitting that he had sexual intercourse, Retzlaff was found to have violated the BYU ‘Honor Code’ and faced a heavy suspension from the team.

This led to Retzlaff deciding to leave the team, transferring instead to Tulane – where he led the Green Wave to an appearance in the College Football Playoff.
