Arsenal have removed any mention of disgraced BBC presenter Scott Mills from their website after he was due to perform DJ sets at Boyzone concerts at the Emirates Stadium this summer.

In February the club announced that Mills, who was sent packing by the broadcaster two weeks ago following a probe into his personal conduct, was to support the Irish act over two nights.

However, following the 53-year-old’s sacking, which came seven years after he was investigated by police over alleged sex offences with a boy aged under 16 with the case later closed, any trace of Mills’s name has now been erased from the Gunners’ website – and it is understood that he will no longer be appearing at their North London home in June.

Boyzone are playing ‘Two For The Road’ shows at the Emirates on June 5 and 6. Mills had been scheduled to play sets at both shows while S Club and B*Witched were also due to support on each night.

On promotional material, Mills was quoted as saying: ‘What a dream to support the lads this summer, it’s going to be 2 nights of big tunes, big singalongs and plenty of 90s nostalgia. I hope you’re ready!’

The development comes after the BBC removed a plaque dedicated to Mills from the Radio 1 studio in London. He had been honoured with the silver memento on his final day at Radio 1 in 2022, with studio 82A renamed as 82 Mills.

The plaque was quietly removed over the Bank Holiday weekend, according to The Sun. Mills worked for Radio 1 from 1998 to 2022 before switching to Radio 2 and its flagship Breakfast Show.

Meanwhile, Daily Mail Sport also understands that Mills was also scheduled to perform at Leicester Racecourse later this month but was replaced on February 16 – well before his sacking – ‘due to unforeseen circumstances’.

He will be replaced by Denise Van Outen at the racetrack’s event on April 25.

In recent years Mills has played DJ sets at various Arena Racing Company owned racecourses in Britain straight after racing, including Uttoxeter, Southwell and Great Yarmouth.
