Coach Steve Clarke fears Scotland may be going home following a 3-0 loss to Brazil that leaves the team’s World Cup campaign in the balance.

Asked about Scotland’s chances of staying in the competition, Clark said he suspected the team was heading home.

“It was a disappointing performance, a poor result. If you give a team like Brazil the chances like we gave them, you expect to get punished,” he said.

“That is what happened and as for our chances at the moment, I think we are probably going home.”

Clarke, who masterminded Scotland’s path to the World Cup and had high hopes of making history with his squad, appeared visibly disappointed as his team’s campaign lost steam against one of the favourites to win the competition.
