Sarah Jane Ramos and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott have had to put the tension between them to one side in order to avoid a courtroom feud regarding their two young children.
Their Lake Como wedding was scheduled to have taken place last week, on April 10, but it was canceled, days after they held a joint bachelor-bachelorette party in the Bahamas in February, amid alleged ‘ongoing infidelity issues’ involving the NFL man.
Ramos and Prescott, both 32, have two young daughters, Margaret and Aurora, together and were scheduled to appear in court in Texas on Thursday in a fight over custody arrangements.
But they have kept their troubles out of the courtroom after striking terms at the last minute on an informal temporary settlement agreement, Page Six has reported. And Ramos is said to be pleased that they can put their children first when they have to.
Ramos’ lawyer, Raymond Rafool, is quoted as saying: ‘Sarah Jane is very happy that she and Dak are able to make decisions for the parties’ girls and their family on their own.
‘She firmly believes that working together as parents is very important and will have long-term benefits for the girls. Sarah Jane continues to be dedicated to putting the girls’ best interests and lives first.’

The pair began dating in May 2023 and got engaged in October 2024, between the births of their children.
Prescott’s attorney has insisted that it was a mutual decision to call off their wedding, telling the publication previously: ‘Unfortunately, when well-known people go through something personal, speculation tends to run wild, and the truth is often swept to the side. People should stop inventing stories and respect their privacy.’
But their split was a huge surprise. In February, they attended the NFL Honors together in San Francisco during Super Bowl week and looked very much in love as they posed for pictures on the red carpet.
Days before the end of the relationship became public news, Ramos shared pictures from her bachelorette with the caption: ‘I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends.’
They then soon sent a message out to their wedding guests explaining that they were not going to be getting married.
‘As many of you know, our wedding is currently scheduled to take place in Lake Como, Italy, on Friday April 10, 2026. It is with heavy hearts that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding,’ the note, first reported by TMZ, said.
‘We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we welcome your prayers.’
Prescott has not spoken publicly about the split but his Cowboys head coach, Brian Schottenheimer, has said he has been supporting his quarterback.

‘Dak and I have had a ton of conversations,’ Schottenheimer said. ‘He’s in a really good spot.
‘Obviously what he’s dealing with is incredibly tough. But if anyone can handle it, he can.’
For Prescott and the Cowboys, attention on football will be ramping up over the course of the next few days, perhaps providing a welcome distraction from troubles in his personal life.
The NFL Draft starts next Thursday in Pittsburgh, with the Cowboys holding the 12th and 20th pick in the first round.
Prescott, who is midway through a four-year, $240m deal with the Cowboys, had an impressive season individually but the team failed to make the postseason.
