Two people have been killed and six others injured when a plane smashed into a bus in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo.
The light aircraft plummeted into busy traffic on a main road, hitting the bus, causing it to burst into flames.
Huge plumes of thick black smoke could be seen across Marquês de São Vicente, a western part of the city, after the crash.
Witness Genival Dantas Arraes described watching as the plane erupted into a “fireball” on impact.
“The plane suddenly came down the avenue and I just saw everything flying and the fireball,” he told local media.
“It exploded immediately. Everyone was paralysed. The plane was ripping up palm trees and signs.”
Two people – a motorcyclist and a woman on the bus – were injured when they were struck by debris, CNN Brasil reported.
The aircraft, a small twin-engine King Air, had left Campo de Marte Airport. The control tower lost contact with the plane minutes later.
Four taken to hospital with minor injuries
Four people were rushed to hospital with minor injuries after the plane crashed and burst into flames on a busy Sao Paolo road.
Two others were more seriously injured.
A woman riding the bus the plane hit was hospitalised, as well as a motorcyclist who was hit by some of the wreckage.

Two charred bodies found in plane fuselage
The charred remains of two bodies were found in the fuselage of the plane, authorities said.
The Beech F90 King Air aircraft crashed into a busy road in Sao Paulo , injuring two others.
Witnesses described seeing the plane erupt into a “fireball” after smashing into a bus.

Firefighters tackling blaze, officials say
The Secretary of Public Security of Sao Paulo, Guilherme Derrite, confirmed that several emergency response outfits were en route to tackle the horror blaze.
He said: “Our teams are working on the crash of a twin-engine plane on Av. Marques de Sao Vicente, in Sao Paulo.
“The Fire Department controlled the flames. Teams from the Military Police, Civil Police and Technical-Scientific Police are also supporting the incident.”

Plane erupted into a ‘fireball’, witness says
Witness Genival Dantas Arraes, watched as the plane erupted into a “fireball” on impact.
He said: “I was going to take the access to Avenida Sumaré and was going to take the return, when suddenly the plane came down the avenue and I just saw everything flying and the fireball.
“It exploded immediately. Everyone was paralyzed. The plane was ripping up palm trees and signs. It went by very quickly.”
