Eligible organisations can apply for grants between £500 and £2,500 to fund projects tackling locally identified issues of poverty and/or social isolation.
The deadline for applications is midday on Monday 22 June 2026.
Who it is for
This scheme is for rural community-led, voluntary organisations, for projects tackling issues of local poverty and/or social isolation.
Projects should focus on one of these areas
- modernisation of buildings or equipment
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- health and wellbeing
- energy efficiency or environmental improvements
Support you can get
The Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme 2026/27 assists in tackling poverty and social isolation within rural communities across Northern Ireland.
Micro Capital grants of between £500 and £2,500 are available.
The scheme has been designed to
- help rural community-led, voluntary organisations to address local issues of access poverty, financial poverty, and social isolation
- improve the lives of those in rural communities, and in particular, the well-being of isolated individuals
- provide an opportunity to implement energy efficiency measures/environmental improvements
