Ruben Amorim insists Manchester United aren’t feeling the pressure of playing at Old Trafford despite their awful home record this season.
United face Ipswich at Old Trafford on Wednesday night having lost seven times in the Premier League there – the same number of defeats as when the club were relegated in 1974.
Amorim claimed after Saturday’s draw at Everton that United are having problems playing in every stadium at the moment and ‘especially ours’.
However, he was keen to play that down ahead of Wednesday’s game despite having won just twice at home in the league since moving from Sporting Lisbon in November.
United face an Ipswich side third from bottom in the table and 13 points behind them, so it is imperative not to be dragged any closer towards relegation danger.
Amorim said: ‘Since I arrived, when I took the job, I expect to win all the games at home. The supporters are amazing and you don’t feel it.
Ruben Amorim insists Manchester United aren’t feeling the pressure of playing at Old Trafford

The Red Devils have already lost seven Premier League matches at home this season
‘Every time you go to one game at Old Trafford, you feel the support. I don’t feel the pressure and we have to think about the games. It is a new game, it can be a new story.’
With Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo ruled out for the season, Amorim was asked about the fitness of Kobbie Mainoo, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Jonny Evans, Toby Collyer, Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton.
‘No, it’s the same,’ he said. ‘They are improving but nobody is recovering for this game.’
