Former professional cyclist Rohan Dennis has allegedly been caught driving while disqualified, with two children in the car.
South Australia Police said they stopped a 36-year-old Medindie man just after 4pm on Thursday, after officers saw him driving a vehicle with the two youngsters inside.
The man’s vehicle was impounded for 28 days and Dennis would be summoned to appear in court at a later date, police said.
Dennis was banned from driving for five years following the traffic incident in which his wife, Olympian Melissa Hoskins, died in December 2023.
A 17-month prison term was suspended on a two-year good-behaviour bond.

Dennis pleaded guilty to an aggravated charge of creating a likelihood of harm after his wife was struck by a vehicle he was driving outside the couple’s home in Medindie, Adelaide’s inner north, in December 2023.
At the time, prosecutors dropped a charge of dangerous driving causing death and an aggravated charge of driving without due care.
Hoskins, a two-time Olympian and former world champion track cyclist, died in hospital after suffering injuries in the incident. She was 32.
Earlier this year, Dennis attracted criticism after posting an image of a black car to social media and describing it as ‘an absolute weapon’.
Dennis retired from professional cycling in 2023 after a decorated career on both the road and track.
Among his achievements were world titles in the individual time trial and team pursuit, along with multiple Olympic appearances for Australia.
He also won the 2015 Tour Down Under.
