A rogue firework scorched down onto the field at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium before the Ravens fell to the visiting New England Patriots on Sunday.
The Ravens were holding a pre-game fireworks display, most of which took place in the skies above the stadium.
However, rather than ascending, one rogue explosive fired directly onto the field, where it nearly hurt one passer by during pre-game activities.
Video of the incident showed the projectile missing the crowd before landing a few yards behind the one person on the field.
No injuries were reported. Baltimore Ravens spokespeople did not immediately respond to the Daily Mail’s request for further information.
The fireworks preceded a down-to-the-wire Sunday Night Football game.

Meanwhile, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson completed just seven passes for 101 yards before leaving the game with a back injury.
Backup Tyler Huntley did not fare better, completing only nine passes for 65 yards on the evening.
Ravens running back Derrick Henry kept the game close with 18 carries for 128 yards and two touchdowns.
But a late touchdown run by Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson sealed the win for New England.

The win secured the first playoff appearance for the Patriots in five years – their first under head coach Mike Vrabel.
As for Baltimore, their playoff hopes hang by a thread – requiring wins in their final two games against the Green Bay Packers and the AFC North rival Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Ravens would also need the Steelers to lose next week’s game against the lowly Cleveland Browns.
