Roads and shops have been closed after a burst water main has caused major flooding and disruption in part of Greater Manchester.
Engineers from United Utilities were sent to Flixton Road and Irlam Road in the Urmston area of Trafford, both of which were later closed by police due to rising water levels.
United Utilities said it had also deployed tankers to Moorside Road, Woodsend Road, and Bowers Avenue in Davyhulme to “keep customers on supply”.
“We apologise for any inconvenience and thank our customers for their patience while we work quickly to fix the burst,” said a company spokesperson.
