Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been confirmed as the venue for Tyson Fury’s comeback fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov, with the heavyweight bout set for April 11 and broadcast worldwide on Netflix.

The Ring announced the London stadium will host the event, which marks Fury’s return from retirement and Netflix’s first-ever live sports broadcast staged in the United Kingdom. Ticket sales open February 17 via Ticketmaster.

A formal launch press conference will be held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on February 16 at 4pm, featuring both fighters, and will be streamed live on Ring Magazine and Netflix’s YouTube channels.

Fury, a former heavyweight world champion, will be fighting for the first time in nearly four years in front of a home UK crowd. The 36-year-old has retired and returned multiple times during his career and last stepped away from the sport following consecutive defeats by Oleksandr Usyk. He holds a professional record of 34 wins, two losses and one draw, with 24 knockouts.

The event is being backed by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority and president of the Saudi Boxing Federation, who confirmed Fury’s decision to return.

‘We are happy that Tyson decided to come out of retirement for what should be an exciting heavyweight clash against Makhmudov,’ Alalshikh said.

Netflix vice president of sports Gabe Spitzer described Fury as one of boxing’s most compelling modern figures and said the company was eager to showcase his return as part of its expanding live sports portfolio. Netflix is also continuing its off-ring partnership with Fury, with a new season of At Home With the Furys and a feature documentary due for release this spring.

The Gypsy King’s opponent Makhmudov has stopped 19 of his 21 opponents and is widely regarded as one of the division’s most dangerous knockout artists.

He goes into the fight on the back of the most significant victory of his career, a unanimous decision triumph over British cult hero Dave Allen last October.

‘Excited to be back,’ Fury said following the announcement. ‘Heart’s always been and always will be in boxing. Someone go tell the king that the ace is back.’

Fury has also indicated he plans to fight three times in 2026 – stating Fabio Wardley could be an option for the summer.

Makhmudov said he welcomed the challenge, promising an all-action contest against the former heavyweight world champion.

‘I am thrilled about the opportunity. I’m coming to deliver a war,’ he said. ‘Tyson Fury has been a big champion. I will be more ready than ever to leave with a massive W.’

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has previously hosted major Ring events, including both sold-out Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn fights, with their first meeting named Fight of the Year at the recent Ring Awards in New York. The undercard for the April 11 show is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
