A member of the Cleveland Browns coaching staff made a swift and angry departure after being passed over for the team’s head coaching job.
On Wednesday, the Browns announced that Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken would be taking over the top job with the franchise.
This decision came after the Browns interviewed multiple people for the position, including their own defensive coordinator, Jim Schwartz.
Schwartz did not take the news well, according to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.
The 59-year-old coach was informed of the decision this morning before getting ‘visibly upset’ after hearing the news, sources told The Insiders.
Schwartz then said his goodbyes to other members of staff while informing coaches that he is ‘not coming back’ to the team.
