Liverpool will receive a mammoth £2million bonus from kit manufacturers Nike if they go on to win the Premier League title this season, according to a report.
Arne Slot’s side moved one step closer to securing the club’s record 20th top-flight title on Sunday night after a commanding 2-0 win at the home of Manchester City.
The Reds moved 11 points clear of second place Arsenal thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai and now need just nine more wins to secure an unlikely crown.
According to The Athletic, the trophy will come with a welcome bonus from Nike, who are in the final year of their five-year contract to manufacture the side’s iconic kits.
The report further states that Liverpool will receive an additional £2m if they reach the final of the Champions League or £4m if they can lift the trophy in Munich at the end of May.
Liverpool are set to announce a new five-year kit deal with Adidas, which is expected to pocket the club more than £60m-a-year.

This would be a significant rise on their current contract with Nike which guarantees a base figure of £30m-a-year. That number rises when taking into account commercial tie-ins, performance-related bonuses and loyalty payments, but is still short of the fee Liverpool are set to receive through their agreement with Adidas.
It will bring them in line with Premier League rivals Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea, who earn around £60-65m each year from their contracts with Adidas, Puma and Nike, respectively.
Following Sunday’s win over the defending champions, Liverpool confirmed their position as likely Premier League winners, with Arsenal suffering a shock loss against West Ham 24 hours before.
The Reds welcome Newcastle to Anfield on Wednesday and skipper Virgil van Dijk insisted that he and his colleagues will take nothing for granted before the title is secured.
‘It was only a couple of days ago there was some noise about how things could go the other way,’ he said. ‘It’s down to us to keep focusing on the game ahead of us.
‘That’s what I told the boys as well. It’s all about recovery and being ready for Newcastle, which will be a big test for us again. We need tunnel vision – nothing else matters really.
‘How many home games are left? Seven out of 11. So let’s make sure those seven are going to be amazing, as loud as possible. Let’s make Anfield horrible for the opponent.’
