Rivalries and revenge
As football fans, these are the nights that we live for.
Don’t get me wrong, last night was a decent little evening of Champions League football, but it’s nothing compared to what we have in store tonight. Blockbuster doesn’t quite cut it as an explanation.
Rivalries have reignited in two of Europe’s most famous capital cities.
In Madrid, the most modern of mega European rivalries resumes as Manchester City travel to the Bernabeu for the second time this season to take on Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, across the border in Paris, there is a repeat of the Club World Cup final as the Champions League holders look to get revenge over Chelsea at the Parc des Princes.
Four of football’s heavyweights going hammer and tong at each other for 90 minutes under the lights, I’m certainly all for it.
It’s going to be on hell of a fun night!
