The partner of a Real Madrid player has hit out at Carlo Ancelotti after the Spanish giants suffered an embarrassing defeat by AC Milan in the Champions League.
Real were beaten 3-1 at the Bernabeu on Tuesday to heap pressure on the Italian after what has been a difficult start to the season.
Ancelotti’s side have now lost two of their four games in the revamped Champions League and languish in 17th, while they are also nine points behind Barcelona in LaLiga having lost 4-0 to their arch-rivals last month.
The defeat by Milan was another frustrating evening where Real’s defensive weaknesses were exposed and Federico Valverde, who was playing on the right of midfield, was withdrawn at half-time alongside Aurelien Tchouameni as Ancelotti attempted to get back into the game.
However, this infuriated journalist Mina Bonino, Valverde’s partner, who apparently slammed the decision on social media.

Posting on her X account, she said: ‘It’s better that I keep quiet because they would take me to jail.’
A user then claimed the decision to substitute Valverde was purely tactical, something that incensed Bonino further.
‘Brother, Fede plays best as a pivot and in recovery,’ she replied. ‘What are you talking about?
‘When are they going to understand once and for all that Fede is not a winger?’
Nevertheless, Bonino later claimed that her account had been compromised and that she was not the source of those messages as she said: ‘It’s not me, I was hacked.’
Speaking after the defeat, Ancelotti was pressed on the Bonino claims and defended his decision.
‘What people think on social networks… for me it’s very complicated,’ he said.
‘I replaced him because for me he was not 100 per cent, he had back problems, he seemed to have recovered because he trained well yesterday but it seemed that he was not at his best physical level, that’s why I changed him.’
Real return to action on Saturday when they take on Osasuna in LaLiga before the November international break gives Ancelotti a chance to recuperate.
Meanwhile, reflecting on Real’s difficult form, Ancelotti opened up on the problems his side faces and admitted he understood why he is coming under pressure.

‘The concern is normal,’ he said. ‘We have to fix it. We’ve conceded too many goals in the last few games, something that was our strength.
‘In today’s game, we had a lot of chances. What jumps out today, at least for me, is not the attack, but the ease with which the opposing team finds offensive solutions.
‘No, it seems normal to me (that people are questioning my decisions). When the team doesn’t perform at its best, the coach is responsible. But it’s very important that we all take responsibility.
‘It’s good that the players are down, as I am. The night is going to be very long — that’s good, so we can all think about how to improve. We have the confidence that we are going to improve and compete in all competitions, as we have always done.’
