Matildas star Sam Kerr appeared in court today charged with the racially aggravated harassment of a police officer on January 30, 2023.
The 31-year-old called a Metropolitan police officer ‘stupid and white’ after she had vomited in a taxi and smashed it’s window, a court heard.
The incident took place in the early hours of the morning in southwest London, with the Chelsea star alleged to have abused PC Stephen Lovell.
The trial began on Monday with Kerr having previously pled not guilty to the charge at a court heaing in March.
Body camera footage was shown to the court which showed Kerr speaking with police at Twickenham Police Station before she was arrested.
