Two men have been arrested after a £10m drugs recovery in Glasgow.
Police Scotland confirmed officers seized a “significant quantity” of cocaine and heroin during a morning raid in Balintore Street, in the Shettleston area of the city.
The suspects, aged 43 and 22, are due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
The operation follows a record week of seizures – totalling almost £14m – across the country.
Assistant Chief Constable Stuart Houston said: “This is one of the largest drugs recoveries ever made in Scotland and comes off the back of a number of other major seizures throughout December.
“Information from the public is the lifeblood which helps us recover illegal drugs and to identify those involved in their supply.”
The senior officer urged anyone with information or concerns about drugs to contact the force.
