Police have been on the hunt for a suspected burglar in Walsall who has been said to look a lot like former Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard.
Jack Harrison, 30, has been wanted by West Midlands Police on suspicion of burglary, as detailed on Facebook by officers in the area.
They posted: ‘Have you seen Jack Harrison? The 30-year-old, from Walsall, is wanted on suspicion of burglary and we’re keen to find him.
‘If you see him ring 999 quoting 20/452699/26.’
But many who saw the post were quick to notice an apparent footballer look alike of the suspect. One user posted: ‘When did Stevie G grow a beard?’
Another, meanwhile, wrote: ‘Well he did steal a living at Villa, so I’m not surprised they are looking for him, lol.’

Others, however, rubbished the thought. One user posted: ‘Looks nothing like him,’ accompanied by a laughing face emoji, while another wrote: ‘Maybe to a blind person.’
The post has now been deleted from West Midlands Police’s social media.
The real Gerrard, meanwhile, made his name with his midfield performances for club and country until his retirement in 2016.
After he hung up his boots, he took up coaching, and has had spells with Rangers, Aston Villa and Al-Ettifaq.
Recently, though, after little success in his last two jobs, he has been back on screen analysing games with the likes of TNT Sports.
As a player, he made 710 appearances for Liverpool, and a further 114 for England.
