Pep Guardiola is eyeing up a mega-money property purchase once he walks away from Manchester City this summer.
Daily Mail Sport exclusively revealed the bombshell news on Monday night that, after 10 trophy-laden years in Manchester, Guardiola will leave the Premier League champions for pastures new.
Guardiola will bring down the curtain on ten magical years at The Etihad in which he has won 20 trophies and established City as one of the world’s leading clubs.
Given his reputation as the best manager in football, Guardiola will no doubt be linked with countless sizeable jobs following his long-term stint in Manchester.
But according to The Sun, the Catalonia-born manager is looking to return home and has his sights set on a luxury £13.5million property in Barcelona.
The lavish new-build home boasts a swimming pool, sea views, a gym and a jacuzzi, and is situated in the city’s exclusive Pedralbes neighbourhood. It is also just 100 yards from the marital home he shared with estranged wife Cristina Serra.

The sprawling mansion is situated just 100 yards from his marital home with estranged wife Cristina Serra
Last year, it was reported that the pair began divorce proceedings in 2024 after 30 years together, with Serra upset by her husband’s decision to sign a new contract at City until 2027.
According to Spanish outlet Antena 3, Serra has moved out of the £8.5million marital home to a different property in the Eixample area.
Guardiola and fashion boss Serra share three grown up children. During his time in charge of City, the 55-year-old has based himself in Deansgate CitySuites in central Manchester. Serra lived with her husband in England before returning to Spain three years ago.
Reports last year suggested that the couple are trying to reconcile their marriage and Guardiola has been linked with work in international football – which would allow him to spend more time in Barcelona.

‘Pep Guardiola and Cristina Serra still wear their wedding rings,’ insider Maria Lapiedra told EN Blau in April 2025. ‘They’re trying to reconcile. He came to her house for three days this Easter and stayed the night there.
‘He’s saying he could be in Manchester and come see her on a private plane in Barcelona once a week, then leave again. She wanted to separate because he secretly renewed his contract, without speaking to Cristina, but Pep wants to stay with her.’
It is expected that news of Guardiola’s City departure will be confirmed some time on Sunday, in time for his stunning impact on English football to be celebrated at an open-top bus parade on Monday.
It is said the parade build-up will start at Manchester’s Northern Quarter at 4pm before finishing outside the Colin Bell Stand reception at the Etihad Stadium an hour later.
