Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes enjoyed a moment alone at a friend’s wedding amidst his recovery from a devastating ACL tear toward the end of the previous NFL season.
Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, were spotted at the nuptials of a friend back in their native Texas.
Brittany snapped a few pictures with the bride, Kate Van Wyk, while wearing a pale pink dress with a deep slit up the left side which showed off her long legs.
Patrick, meanwhile, wore a pale blue button-down shirt, dark blue pants and white sneakers.
In a gallery of pictures posted to Brittany’s Instagram, Patrick was seen wearing a brown cowboy hat and downing a cold Coors Light.
Notably, no knee brace was visible – a possible indication that his recovery from his crushing injury is going better than believed.

The Chiefs quarterback has been recovering well from a devastating knee injury
Mahomes was initially expected to be out for a majority of the upcoming NFL season – especially through the first few weeks of the campaign.
However, Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reports that the Chiefs star is ahead of schedule in his recovery.
‘His pain threshold is different, his work ethic is different,’ Glazer said on the ‘Dan Patrick Show.’
‘So at first they were like, ‘Oh, you know, start of the season.’ I would probably hedge on him being [back] sooner than that. By far. Because he just attacks things.’
Glazer says that Mahomes’ decision to almost immediately undergo surgery prior to his knee swelling up could be a major factor in his availability.
‘The initial reports were kind of on the fringe there, but I want to tell you, Patrick’s different,’ Glazer added.
‘He got (the surgery) before it swelled up. So, that was on a Tuesday. I believe it was either Thursday or Friday that week, he was already in the Chiefs’ training room doing rehab. And he had already got his knee bending at 90 degrees at that point. He’s just different, he heals differently.’
