Stockport County midfielder Owen Moxon has joined Wigan Athletic on loan until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old has made 27 appearances for the Hatters this season, with his most recent appearance coming against Harrogate Town in the EFL Trophy last week.
He joins a Latics side who are just one point above the League One relegation zone.
“I am absolutely delighted to get the deal over the line and sorted,” he told Wigan’s website, external.
“We’re only halfway through the transfer window, so I’m happy to get in and get cracking straight away.
“From speaking with the head coach and friends who have connections with the club, it fits with where I am, and it’s something I’m happy to be a part of.”
Moxon began his career at Queen of the South before moving to Annan Athletic, where he made 116 league appearances.
The Englishman then moved south of the border to Carlisle United, where he made 82 appearances before joining Portsmouth in January 2024.
He played 15 times as the south-coast club won the League One title but moved to Stockport after making 12 Championship appearances for Pompey the following season.
