Wigan Athletic have signed forward Owen Dale on loan from Oxford United until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old has played 30 games for the U’s since joining them in February last year, and he was a consistent part of the side that won promotion to the Championship.
However, he has played only 11 games in the second tier so far this campaign, with four of them starts.
“Owen is a hard-working and talented forward player, who will be a real asset to us in the final third,” said Wigan manager Shaun Maloney.
Dale began his career at Crewe Alexandra before joining Blackpool permanently in 2022, while he has also had a spell on loan at Portsmouth.
