- Driver blended in perfectly on outing near the track
Charles Leclerc and his wife Alexandra have managed to blend in perfectly in Melbourne – despite the Ferrari driver being one of the most sought-after people in the city as the Australian Grand Prix looms.
Leclerc, who wed Alexandra just last Saturday in Monaco, has just arrived in the Victorian capital for the season opener at Albert Park.
The 28-year-old was spotted casually riding around on a Lime e-scooter with his wife near Luna Park in St Kilda, just blocks away from the track – and passers-by were none the wiser.
A fan has since posted footage of the pair riding around looking very relaxed, days before Leclerc begins his tilt at the 2026 World Drivers Championship.
But although he wasn’t recognised by Melbourne citizens in that video, the F1 star had a very different experience when he arrived at his hotel.
Leclerc was mobbed by fans and had to run for the lifts as he was chased around the ground floor after stepping through the doors.

Supporters have now taken to social media to voice concerns about Leclerc’s safety.
‘Omg this is so bad, security should make people stay outside,” one said on TikTok.
‘Far out, what is wrong with people? Leave the man be, no need to chase after him,’ another added.
‘Omg, imagine chasing someone while they are actively running away from you. Literally insane,’ a third wrote.
The safety concerns have surfaced just days after the couple’s wedding took place.
Charles and Alexandra’s ceremony might have been relatively low-key in terms of fanfare and publicity, but it was still as stylish as they come.
The pair were spotted driving off in a vintage Ferrari worth $17 million on a picturesque Monaco road in images shared after the ceremony.
Behind them were three motorbikes and a black Mercedes, seen in a clip widely shared on social media.

Neither Leclerc nor his bride confirmed the news on their social media channels immediately.
But the Ferrari star has now revealed they wed on Saturday – less than a week before the start of the new Formula One season.
Leclerc and Saint-Mleux have been dating since early 2023, when they were spotted together at Paris Fashion Week in March.
The Australian Grand Prix takes place on Sunday afternoon.
