Snowboarding icon Shaun White had some fun in the winter snowstorm that slammed New York City on Sunday – hitting some big jumps in Central Park.
Over 11 inches (27cm) of snow dropped on the iconic urban greenspace as New Yorkers took to the streets for a day of fun.
White joined them and even brought along his board to the Cedar Hill section of the park near the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Joining him was comedian Shane Gillis, who performed at Madison Square Garden earlier in the weekend.
At one point in the day, White decided to perform a daredevil stunt and involved Gillis and the comedian’s ‘Tires’ co-star Chris O’Connor.
As the two funnymen sat smiling just in front of a freshly-constructed jump, the three-time Olympic Gold medalist cleanly caught some air over their heads and landed smoothly.

‘Only in NYC,’ a caption on an Instagram video of the stunt read.
The scene was witnessed by dozens of people who enjoyed a powder day the city hadn’t seen in a long time.
White wasn’t done. He was seen pulling off a front flip as well, to cheers from the crowd.
It’s some fun for White, who is not competing in the 2026 Winter Olympics in a few weeks, having been retired since 2022.
White finished fourth in Beijing, which was the final professional competition the now-39-year-old took part in.
