Olympic gold medal winner Noemie Fox has made a shock announcement about her love life that has left fellow athletes stunned – and thrilled.

Fox, who made history at the Paris Olympics, has revealed that she is engaged to long-time partner Titouan Dupras.

‘A little secret we’ve been keeping from youuu!!’ she wrote on Instagram.

‘Who could have imagined that our little love story in Rio all those years ago would bring us here,’

‘So proud of everything we’ve written together, et de tout ce qu’il nous reste à écrire,’ she said, which translates to, ‘and all that remains for us to write’.

The post garnered plenty of well wishes from friends, family and Olympians including Ariarne Titmus and Shayna Jack.

‘You two! How good, I’m so stoked for you both,’ Bronte Campbell commented.

Her sister Cate added: ‘Omg this is the best news! Congratulations.’

Fox and Dupras began dating around 2017 after meeting through their shared passion for canoe slalom.

Dupras, a former French slalom canoeist turned coach, later relocated to Australia in 2021 to work with the national team and be closer to Fox.

The pair have maintained a low public profile, choosing to keep their relationship largely private despite both being involved in elite sport.

They have juggled sporting commitments around the world and started out long distance, making it work before they could call the same country home.

Fox was also born in in France – in Marseille – and moved to Australia when she was young.

She made her senior international debut in 2015 at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup.

Since then, she has won multiple medals across both individual and team events.

In 2022, she claimed her first individual World Cup victory in the women’s kayak cross.

Fox earned selection for the Australian team at the 2024 Paris Olympics. At the Games, she competed in both the C1 and kayak cross disciplines.

She went on to win the gold medal in the women’s kayak cross. Her victory marked her first Olympic medal.

Fox also became the first Australian woman to win Olympic gold in that event.
