Not long to go now until kick-off in State of Origin 1 and the analysis that everyone has been waiting for is finally here.
The boys on the Triple M have ranked the hottest State of Origin players of all time, and it’s not looking great for Queensland.
So unimpressed with the looks of the players in Maroon over the years, that they didn’t actually include a single one.
But it makes for much better listening for Craig Wing who has been put on the Mount Rushmore of most attractive Origin players of all time.
The other names included Braith Anasta, Trent Barrett, Matt Cooper with the caveat of it being in his prime and Luke Ricketson.
There was some contention over Brait’s inclusion with Nathan Hindmarsh suggesting that he would be himself in the conversation without actually being in it.
Craig Wing has been put on the Mount Rushmore of attractive Sate of Oirign players

Braith Anasta was also put in the conversation, though Nathan Hindmarsh was sceptical of the shout
Trent Barrett was included in the list by the Triple M boys
As was Luke Ricketson (Left) who was also given the nickname lemonade sandwich
There was also a place for Matt Cooper who made their considerations
And Ricko may have been firmly in the conversation but that didn’t stop him copping a fair bit of stick himself, as Hindy called him Lemonade sandwich.
For those that need clarification, that means weak, as it would fall apart under pressure.
Hindy also had a lot to say about Wingy using his looks to ham it up for the fans during games.
‘Wingy was the first bloke to bring the tight shorts back and loved to a stretch in front of the crowd’, he said.
‘I’d be looking down the sideline, “what are you doing Wingy?” He’s just down there touching his toes.’
The NRL Roast’s hottest 100 certainly looks much better for Queenslanders with former Maroon star Reece Walsh in fourth.
He was joined in the top-five by another former Queensland representative in Patrick Carrigan with Kalyn Ponga in sixth.
In fact, you have to get all the way down to ninth place before you find a New South Wales player in Souths captain Cameron Murray.
The title of the NRL’s sexiest man is a light-hearted affair now, but it used to be a far more high-profile competition.
NRL Roast’s Hottest 100 debuted in 2021, when Kalyn Ponga took the title, but stars dating back to the 1990s have been put on a pedestal for their looks.
The Men of League calendar was an annual staple that featured heartthrobs like Cronulla legend Andrew Ettingshausen and Manly enforcer Ian Roberts shot in arty black and white photos.
Former Dragons star Matt Cooper stands as the only player to win the Sexiest Man of League title twice, although that part of his career comes with mixed memories.
Cooper was first crowned in 2001, when the final round of judging was held on Channel Nine’s now-defunct Footy Show.
