Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is open to playing against the United States in flag football as part of the 2028 Summer Olympics.
There will be a logjam of quarterbacks ready to suit up or Team USA at the next Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, as flag football gets added to the extravaganza as an official event.
While Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Josh Allen appear to be the frontrunners to represent the country’s first Olympic flag football team, Murray is also hedging his bets in case Team USA reps do not come calling.
Murray is one-quarter Korean, and is open to representing South Korea on the world stage.
Exactly how many teams will qualify and how the process works to make any roster differs per country.

Murray has spoken about the possibility of playing for South Korean in four years before.
‘That would be an awesome experience if they asked me to do it,’ Murray said to AMAZN HQ. ‘I’d have to take it into consideration… I think that’d be a great experience.’
The United States national flag football team has won five straight world championships, with some players from that player pool thinking its unfair for NFLers to jump the line when they have never played their brand of football professionally.
‘I feel like I’m better than Patrick Mahomes because of my IQ of the game,’ said USA flag football quarterback Darrell Doucette via TMZ.
‘We are fans of these guys, and like I said, we love the fact that they wanna go out and win the gold medal and represent the country, just like us. But we don’t want to be forgotten about because we are the ones who helped this game get to where it’s at.’
It is hard to deny that there would be more interest in the sport at the Olympics if a big name NFL player was running an offense, even though it looks like it will not be Murray.
