Will Levis struggled to end a difficult week on a positive note on Friday at Tennessee Titans practice.
The quarterback, returning to action after missing all of 2025 due to shoulder surgery, found himself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons this week when his own mother gave an interview about his leaked ‘intimate tape’ with ex-girlfriend Gia Duddy.
She revealed he spent an ‘exorbitant’ amount of money trying to find out how the footage ended up in the wrong hands and explained how he even called her with a groveling apology when he realized what had happened.
The 26-year-old Levis was looking to put that behind him on Friday as he headed out onto the practice field to resume his battle with Mitchell Trubisky for the No. 2 role at quarterback behind Cam Ward.
And while he had a couple of encouraging moments, his day was defined by throwing two picks under the watchful eye of the new Titans head coach, Robert Saleh.
Defensive tackle Solomon Thomas intercepted the first – the Titans website labeled it ‘a bad pass by Levis’ – while cornerback Keydrain Calligan got the second when Levis was trying to find Lance McCutcheon.

Overall, Levis went 5-of-6 in the 7-on-7 portion, and 10-of-17 with the two picks in the team drills, making him 15-of-23 for the day.
The Titans added that Levis connected with Courtney Jackson with a ‘beautiful deep ball’ and showed signs of an understanding with tight end David Martin-Robinson but overall ‘it wasn’t his best day’.
Earlier this week, his mother Beth gave an interview with Ross Tucker explaining how her son’s leaked tape inspired her to start a clothing brand called ‘Chill Life Style’. Consumers are encouraged to spend less time on their phones and more time engaging with the world around them.
‘You just know your kids and you know the tenor of their voice and the feel, even though they’re thousands of miles away,’ she said in the interview. ‘As soon as he started talking my heart immediately sank.
‘I was in the car, I ended up pulling over. I come to find out my son had found out there was a very intimate video of he and his ex-girlfriend that had gone viral all over the social media outlets.
‘And the first words out of Will’s mouth were “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, so sorry Mom”. It just broke my heart.
‘It really hurt Will because he knew this was going to be something that probably a lot of people would see and it’s not meant for anybody else’s eyes, other than perhaps he and his girlfriend.’
She also used the interview to shoot down online rumors that her son or Duddy had leaked the footage deliberately. Levis and Duddy split in September 2023 and she had noticed people questioning if one of them had leaked the footage to upset the other.
The footage involved NFL quarterback Levis and his then-girlfriend, influencer Gia Duddy
Levis was with Duddy when he endured draft humiliation in the first round back in 2023
‘There was conjecture that this video was leaked on purpose by my son or his girlfriend at the time which was not the case at all,’ she said.
‘Will actually ended up engaging in hiring a cyber security specialist and private investigator, spent an exorbitant amount of money to try and get to the bottom of this. It’s amazing you can even do this, it’s crazy these people are even available.’
Those investigators discovered that Levis had been hacked by criminals thousands of miles away.
‘Ultimately, a lot of the content was taken down but you know, you can never scrape anything entirely off the internet,’ she added. ‘We did find out this content was stolen and his private laptop, or whatever, was actually breached and invaded a year or two earlier when he was in college.
‘We come to find out it was an eastern European hacking group who target an attractive couple and do what they do for attention. We came to terms with that, it wasn’t something malicious from somebody else.’
After a year out with shoulder surgery, Levis is preparing for 2026 with Tennessee Titans
Levis is also remembered for his own struggles on draft night in 2023. He was widely expected to be a first-round pick and was sat in the green room alongside Duddy and his mom.
But every pick came and went without his name being called on an awkward night. He was eventually taken by the Titans at No. 33 in the second round – the Titans traded up to take him.
Levis now enters the final year of his $9.5million rookie contract with the Titans in 2026.
The Titans start the season on September 13 against the New York Jets in Nashville.
