A Giants ball woman suffered a humiliating fall while trying to retrieve a foul ball during Tuesday’s loss to the Padres.
Nearly 40,000 fans were at Oracle Park to see San Diego secure a 10-5 win over San Francisco in the second of a three-game series.
Jackson Merrill and Xander Bogaerts shone for the Padres but in the eighth inning, a Giants staffer briefly stole the show.
After Bryce Eldridge struck a Jason Adam pitch down the first-base line, the ball woman jogged out to collect it.
She picked up the ball in her glove but then stumbled and faceplanted into the dirt.
When the woman climbed back to her feet – while laughing – she was cheered and applauded by the crowd at Oracle Park.
